Chapter II: Shortcut World

Chapter II: Shortcut World

The Maker begins building several more Portals in the Nether and explores different areas of Faradesia, including the Nullard Mountains, the Nullard Depths, the village of Desert’s Edge, Distant Forest, the Subterranean Rivers cavern, and Mistal Swamp. At the same time, he studies The Nether, learning about its connection to Faradesia. He also discovers three more Nether Portal ruins: in Underwater Cavern, the peak of Sky Mountain (part of the Nullard Mountains range), and on a partially-floating isle in The Nether. He begins keeping a log of coordinates for all of the Portals he has built, all of the Portal ruins he finds, and villages he comes across.

In Desert’s Edge, The Maker has a run-in with a couple of villagers and decides to demonstrate his power by constructing a Redstone circuit that detonates TNT under said villagers’ house. Both villagers drown after falling into the small lake below. In Distant Forest, he digs out a large cavern in a hill near his Nether Portal and makes it into a beautiful underground retreat with walls of diamond, a ceiling of lapis lazuli, and a floor of gold. He also digs out a second room, which he makes his bedroom, modeled in the style of his hut back in Maker’s Grove.
