Chapter IV: The Legend Lives
In The Maker’s Hut, Tacky finds and takes an Enchanted Bow from the Chest within. In The Maker’s Mine, while in Deep Haven, Tacky finds that he possesses powers similar to those described in the legend to be possessed by The Maker himself. With his newfound power, he builds a mysterious, unnerving box called an Ender Chest. When he opens up his creation, he is shocked to find that it already has things stored in it…even though he has just built it. One such item is a book containing a list of coordinates for various Nether Portals and ruins throughout Faradesia and The Nether. Shortly afterwards, however, he loses his power and falls into a coma. He wakes up two days later in the bed in The Maker’s Hut. Later, Tacky discovers Underwater Cavern. However, he also discovers that just beyond its back wall lies an underground network of massive caverns, in one of which he finds a strange, horizontal formation of odd altars, placed in a square as if forming a portal. He decides to remember this and leaves, a tad afraid of the strange frame. When Tacky takes a Nether Portal to Distant Forest, he discovers The Maker’s Retreat, the most beautiful abode ever described in legend; it is just as breathtaking as the stories say. In The Maker’s Bedroom, just off the Retreat’s main cavern, he finds a book describing the three known homes of The Maker: The Maker’s Hut, Deep Haven, and The Maker’s Retreat. He also finds another Ender Chest containing the same things that he had found inside his own Ender Chest in Deep Haven, minus the book of coordinates. In the Nether, Tacky travels to the highest point in the dimension, Y-coordinate N128, and finds that the roof of The Nether is an endless, flat, expanse of stone, like the stone found in Faradesia.
