ARC 3: FARADESIA RISING
Chapter VII: Making Faradesia His Own
After two days of experimenting with his powers, The Maker discovers a special device that can channel and store a given ability like a capacitor and then use that ability when a Redstone current is passed through it; he names this a Command Capacitor. In Maker’s Grove, he sets up three different Command Capacitors underground, channeling weather-altering power into each one, and, using Wooden Pressure Plates, he turns these into his Weather-Controllers, allowing him to stop on a given “WC” to change the weather in a fairly wide radius to clear, rainy, or stormy for a guaranteed duration of five minutes. Then, in an effort to protect the Blessed Beacon from invaders, he sets up similar devices around the perimeter of the diamond pyramid that will teleport anybody who steps on one of the Wooden Pressure Plates straight into a small pool of lava that sits near the edge of Faradesia Forest.
The Maker then heads to the nearby beach to figure out a fast, convenient method of travel across the Great Ocean between western and eastern Faradesia. He starts by building the Forest Dock, but that does not turn out as he had hoped. Then, he decides to build a massive bridge between the two shores, one end in Faradesia Forest and the other end on the southern end of the Nullard Mountains, on which he places rail tracks. At each end, he builds a small “station” and deems the whole thing the Cross-Ocean Rail, an express minecart railway on which travel is occasionally supported by Powered rails charged by Redstone Torches hanging underneath. From Western Station (the Nullard Mountains station), The Maker builds a Powered railway starting from just up the hill from Western Station and stretching all the way to the base of Nullard Hill, around the corner from his Nullard Mountains Nether Portal. There, he sets up a small farm, The Maker’s Farm, replacing some of the Kra’an Desert sand with grassy dirt and fencing the area in. He uses his powers to summon a group of chickens into the pen, and he makes one side of the pen suitable for the growth of cocoa beans, wheat, and melon.
